Augustus "AC" Alston

Augustus “AC” Curenthuis Alston was born on June 1, 1945 in Norfolk, VA and was called home to be with the Lord on March 22, 2018 in Norfolk, VA. His loving wife is Julia Ann Alston. AC was the eldest of six children. He was preceded in death by his parents James Williams and Katherine Alston Kittrell.  His brother and sisters include Rita Stith, Lillie Battle, Katherine Kittrell, Charles Kittrell, Angela Washington (Clifton).

AC enjoyed life. He loved spending time with his family, scrap metal work, and mechanic work. AC attended Norfolk Public Schools.

He leaves to mourn his five children: George Gill, III (Rebecca) of Norfolk, VA, Ronnie Gill (Teresa) of Las Vegas, NV, Augustus Gill (Tennile) of Norfolk, VA, Augustus Alston of Norfolk, VA, and Theresa Cuffee of Chesapeake, VA.  

He also leaves to mourn brother-in-law Melvin Johnson and a host of other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.
