Darryl Lance Durant died on Wednesday,  July 5, 2017 at age 50 at the Sentara Leigh hospital in Norfolk, VA.  He was born June 7, 1967 to Charles L.Durant Sr. (Patrica) (NC), and late Lillie M. Durant (NC).  He graduated from Ayden Grifton high school 1986, and following his graduation he served in US Navy for 4 years with an honorable discharge.   He worked several different jobs and later opened his own locksmith business. 
Darryl leaves behind two daughters,  Dorica L. Grimes  (VA), Dasia L. Durant (VA), grandaughter, Dawn Lillie Garland  (VA ) , sister,  Romona K. Durant (NC),brother , Charles L. Durant Jr. (NC), sister,  Tracy L. Durant (SC),  nephew, Wilson E. Rodriguez Jr. (NC), neice, Gabrielle C. Durant (SC), a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
