David Anthony Garfield Peyton was born to Charles David Peyton and Eunice Gladys Anderson Peyton on November 13, 1958 in Southampton Bermuda. He moved to the states with his family in 1961 to Maryland and then Virginia and eventually spent the remainder of his childhood in San Diego County.

He graduated from Mountain Empire High School in Pine Valley, CA in 1977, where he was a star athlete competing in football, basketball, baseball and track and field. He was known as the bionic redskin.

He began his career as a heavy equipment mechanic in the U.S. Army serving throughout the U.S. and overseas in Germany, where he fell in love with German cars, BMWs and Porsches.  After serving one tour in the Army, David returned to San Diego and began working for Valley Detroit Diesel in the Parts Department.  Being the hard worker that he was, David worked several jobs throughout his life including a mall maintenance worker and an over the road truck driver.

But he found his greatest passion as an airplane fueler working at Lindbergh Field in San Diego.  David could spend hours discussing his employment at Lindbergh Field, he met several celebrities and professional athletes, and was able to have an on-going relationship with the regulars who patron the airport on a regular basis.  He worked at airports throughout the country including San Diego CA, Los Angeles CA, Carlsbad CA, Dallas TX, Newport News VA, Norfolk VA, and Louisville KY.  He loved aviation and enjoyed model airplanes and jets. Anything to do with flying he loved.  He enjoyed all sports, one in particular was NASCAR, where he met several drivers and attended many races.  One of his greatest moments was the opportunity to drive an actual race car.

David lived out the last few years of his life in Kentucky with his father, brother and uncle, until he became ill and moved to Virginia.  Once asked, what did he want to do, he stated he had done everything he wanted. As a 7-year boy, David never accepted the death of his mother, but now we have comfort to know they are together at last.  David is loved by many and will be missed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles David Peyton, and his mother, Eunice Gladys Anderson Peyton, step-mothers, Bennettes Peyton, Rosie Peyton, and step-brother Alvin Thompson.
