Hazel Floyd was called home on the morning of May 14, 2017. She was born January 29, 1932 to the late Clifton Burwell and the late Elizabeth Leah Jordan in Rocky Mount, NC. Hazel was the third out of the four sisters.

Hazel worked on Greenbrier Farm and as a housekeeper over the years. She married the late Shep Floyd. She gave life to twelve kids, 6 preceded her in death, Diane, Alfred Lee, George, twins, and Melvin Floyd; and 6 still remain, her daughter Carolyn Dukes, her sons Willie Floyd (Marilyn), Shep Floyd, Timothy Floyd, Milton Floyd, and Wayne Floyd (Gina). Hazel also had a host of Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, and four Great Great-Grandchildren.
