On October 11, 2017, the Lord Jesus Christ called Joan Cheryl Wilson to her eternal home .  She was born October 6, 1946 to Willie L. Carballo, Sr. and the late Edythe Carballo.  Joan was one of five children.  She attended and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.  She attended Keys Business School.

Joan gave her life to Christ as a young woman and was faithful to the House of the Lord.  Though Joan had many of life’s challenges, she was a hard worker and faithful to her family

Joan is survived by a spouse Andrew Wilson; two sons Sean Carballo of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Andrew Timothy Wilson of Norfolk, Virginia; her father, Willie L. Carballo, Sr.; three sisters Deborah L. Johnson (Calvin) Norfolk, Virginia; Arvis D. Bowden of North Carolina, and Valeria R. Davis (Phillip); one brother Willie L. Carballo Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two sisters-in-law, Deborah Gregory and Beverly Wright of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and a host of nieces and nephews
