RMCS(IW/SW/AW) Malcolm R Tipton, (Mike/Tip) retired, was granted his angel wings on Thursday, July 13, 2017. 

His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Mike had touched in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life.

Mike’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile yet strong and direct approach on any situation made a difference so many lives.

Mike was received into the heavenly gates by his loving mother, Joyce Tipton and grandmother, Betty Jean Williams, and son, Malquame DeAngelo Tipton. He is survived by his loving wife, Monica, his children Anthony, Essence, MyKecia, and Derrilyn, two grand-daughters, Alivia and Aleia, sister, Janis, and brother Timothy, along with a host of other family and friends.

Family hour will be held Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 6pm-7pm at Keith Matthews Funeral Home, 5665 E. Virginia Beach BLVD, Norfolk, Virginia 23502. Funeral services will be held at David-Adams Memorial Chapel, Naval Station Norfolk, on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 1200 in the afternoon.
