Moira Deaner left us on July 27, 2017 at the age of 66 in Virginia Beach, VA.  Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1951, she left her home and moved to the U.S. in 1972 to start her family.  Her life was always centered around her family, both in the States and in her homeland. Family was of the highest importance and her lifelong priority.  She also loved children and spent many years of her life helping raise the children of others as a loving and compassionate Nanny.

A devoted and loving wife and mother, she is survived by her husband, James Deaner, her daughter Bonnie Mary Deaner, and her son James Deaner Jr. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary McPhillips McDowell and her father William McDowell.  Moira is survived by numerous loved ones in Scotland including her sister Enid McMurdo.

Our hearts are heavy with grief but also filled with the wonderful memories of such a remarkable woman.  Though our tears are many and no loss could be greater, we will live to celebrate her life knowing that in only a short time we will be reunited with her again.
