October 23, 2017 11:34 AM

Saka, ever since we met, you became a member of my family. This past May 2017, you drove up to see me in Chesapeake, VA from Norfolk, VA. and you honestly admonished me for not taking the time to come and visit with you in light of keeping me abreast about the happenings in your life. I apologized to you then and told you that, you thought me an additional lesson about life since you took the time to do what I did not do as an older brother but still letting you know that the brotherly love that I have for you transcends physical space, and you were very understanding. At the time you showed me all the medication that you were taking to cope with your health challenges, and I reminded you to remain steadfast and follow the advice of your doctors. Therefore, your passing on to be with Almighty God's angels in the realm of glory is very personal. Sincerely, some void cannot be filled. Still memorable is our family visit with you to the US Navy Shipyard in Norfolk, VA. Most importantly, I will miss our old school political conversations especially those centered upon your big uncle, the late Chief Akinyemi Obe, and the late Chief TOS Benson of the First Republic in Nigeria. Indeed, there are lots of lessons to learn from every human interaction. Humans are like vibrant green leaves on a solid plant until one day when they become the yellow leaves that mark the advent of Autumn (Fall) Season. Prayerfully, those fallen yellow leaves will serve as manure that will lead to the regeneration of new plants. Saka, your life is a regeneration of caring and humility. May Almighty God bring repose to your soul and continue to protect your loved ones and members of your household. May your soul rest in eternal peace perfect peace from the bustles of this earthly crisis.
