Obituary

“Energy is not destroyed, it is only changed from one form to another.”

On March 31, 2019, Barry Lee Young’s energy transitioned into another dimension.

On April 6, 2019 we are celebrating his life. He was born on May 07, 1963 to Carolyn Marie Uzzle and Barry Lee Stewart in Norfolk, VA. He was predeceased by his grandfather, James H. Young, grandmother, Marie W. Young, and his father (step), Willie L. Uzzle Sr.

Our purpose is to get back to God, and that is what he believed. Which is why he chose to be cremated when his shell was no longer of use. Barry was a very intelligent soul.  He could talk for days about things he was passionate about. He took those passions and created a work of art, The Ravings of a “Lunatic.” Barry was an educator and touched every life he came in contact with. He always made people laugh and think untraditionally. His family and friends have stories for days, which is how he wanted to be remembered…HAPPY!

He leaves to carry on his legacy, his mother, Carolyn Uzzle; father Barry Stewart; his daughter Pamela Scott (Mckinley); her mother, Linda Eldridge; two granddaughters, Victory and Jordan Scott; two sisters, Renee Cross (Garnett) and Pamela Morris (Danny); two brothers, Willie L. Uzzle Jr. (Wanda) and Jason Stewart; nieces Ashley, Dominique, Aryn, and Miracle; nephews, Danny Jr., Mathew, and Scott; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, among them Lois, Eric, and Melvin.
