Bernice Corbin Obituary

Bernice Ann Corbin, known to everyone as "Nana," was born May 2, 1928. She was the fourth born child to the late Emanuel and Lessie Everette in Bayonne, New Jersey. On November 21, 2019 Nana gained her wings where she was a resident of Heritage Hall nursing home in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Nana persued a career as a Nurse in New York where she took pride in caring for others. During that time, she gave birth to her son Joseph A. Harris Sr. born June 1, 1944. Nana was a member of the Eastern Stars as well as a dedicated member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in the Bronx, New York. She traveled the world and enjoyed her life with her girlfriends. She was wise, sassy, and slick with the lip. She definitely lived life with no regrets. She gave up her career so that she could adopt and raise her 4 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by all of  of her siblings and sons Joseph “Danny” Harris Sr. and Christopher Corbin.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Her children Clancy Corbin- Wilson, Joseph Harris Sr., Lessie Corbin, Son in law Moe Wilson, daughter in law Hope Harris, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 grandson in law, 3 god daughters, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
