On Sunday July 21, 2019, Clyde Bernard Lynch was called into eternal rest. He was born the youngest child to the late Cleveland and Beulah Jones Lynch of Bethel, N.C. on August 18, 1935.
Clyde was blessed to find love three times in the course of his life: His first marriage with Margaret resulted in the birth of their beautiful daughter, Deborah J. Lynch-Copeland. Deborah gave Clyde two beautiful grandchildren: Tiayon and Ameenah Lynch. He later married Delores Harvey. His last union was to Wanda Toliver, the marriage allowed their blended family to join Clinton Toliver, and Tenesha Banks (Mondrell) to their union; he loved them dearly. Clinton has four children, and Tenesha has two.
Clyde lived in Columbia, S.C., Washington D.C., and Maryland for a number of years before settling in the Tidewater area for a job opportunity. He was a faithful member of Enoch Baptist Church where he attended weekly worship services until his failing health. An optimist, Clyde did not let the obstacles of life keep him down, though he could not come to the physical church building, he never stop having church in his home. He read his bible daily and reminisced on the goodness of the Lord with his family and friends. It will be hard in the days ahead to know that there will not be another phone call in the morning to hear your voice, or a goodnight at the end of the day, but we are grateful for the time the Master put you here on earth.
Clyde is predeceased by his parents, and leave to cherish his memories his wife, his daughter, two step children, eight grand-children, and one great grandchild and a host of other relatives, family and friends.
