Constance Worthy Obituary

 

On July 23, 2019 the Lord Jesus called Constance (Connie) Faison Worthy to her final resting place.  Constance was born on May 28, 1933 in Cranston, R.I.  She was raised in Newport, R.I. where she graduated from Rogers High.   She married Floyd C. Faison (deceased) and had 5 children.  In the early 70’s she went back to school and went into Civil Service and had numerous jobs on Newport, R.I. Naval base to include booking airline flights for the military.  She moved and transferred to Norfolk, Va. in 1989 to be closer to her daughter. She attended schools for TWA and Travel colleges in Kansas City, American airlines in Dallas, Army flight in Newport News and Scott AFB for Mac Flight.  After 14 years she was selected as the Civilian of the Quarter.  She retired from the Naval Aviation depot after 26 years of civil service.

Connie loved life with her family and friends.  She enjoyed reading, going to flee markets and yard sales.  She loved the Lord and her church family and watching NSU Spartan marching band perform.  She loved people and they loved her with that beautiful smile.

Constance was predeceased by her son David L. Faison

She leaves to cherish her fond memories daughters, Katherine (Kay) Deberry and Diane Johnson.  Her sons, Lamar Scott Faison (Therese), Tariq Muhammad and Darrell Deberry.  She leaves 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  1 Aunt (Cleo Williams), 1 sister Iola Cannon (Hugh) in WI and best friend and confidant Anita Dewitt. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
