Denise Ann Ivy, 61, of Norfolk, VA, passed away on October 16, 2017 in Norfolk, VA.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dennis Sykes Sr., mother, Mary Pesinger, brother, Dennis Sykes Jr., and grandmother, Ola Mae Williams.

She was a cashier and a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband Ellis Ivy, Jr. of Norfolk, VA, and six children; Mary Parson, Michelle Sykes of Virginia Beach,VA, Nathaniel Thomas (Jackie) of TN, John Thomas of Norfolk,VA, and Christina McDonald (Gregory) of NY, one sister Charlene Bond (Vernon) of Washington DC, and one brother Carl Hall (Angie) of Washington DC, a mother-in-law Rachel French, three brothers-in-law; Keith L. Ivy, Walter E. Ivy (Jennifer), and Rick V. Ivy (Angela), 19 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 6 nephews, 5 great-nephews, 5 nieces, and 2 great-nieces.
