Fern Cropper

Fern Arlene Cropper, beloved daughter of the late Harry & Mariah Custis Cropper, was born on April 21, 1957 in Nassawaddox, VA. She peacefully departed this life on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Heritage Hall in Nassawaddox, VA.

Fern was educated in Accomack County Public Schools. In her youth she was affiliated with St. John’s Baptist Church in Onancock, VA. Later, she gave her life to Christ at Pungoteague Community Church in Puntoteague, VA.

Fern was preceded in death by her brother Jerome Custis.

Left to cherish her memories are her three sons: Calvin Cropper (Calissa) of Parksley, VA, Demond Cropper (Gail) of Cambridge, MD, and Ronnie Cropper (Latisha) of Keller, VA. Nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Nathan Cropper of Onancock, VA and Tony Cropper (Jammie) of Chesterfield, VA. One sister, Carolyn Cropper of Charlotte, North Carolina. A close cousin, Cynthia Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and fond friends.
