Ivan was well- known in not only the city of Virginia Beach where he resided at his time of death, but also other cities too. Ivan was known to make his family and friends laugh. He loved to dance and sing and have a good time. He made an impact on many people. Many people knew Ivan from the young to the old. Many say there was never a dull moment around Ivan.

Ivan loved his family and friends and his family and friends loved him dearly also.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Alim Nuriddin, and his sister Yvonne Knox. He leaves to cherish his memory to his 9 children: Jermaine Jones, Alan Jones (Dana), Albert Jones (Tamika), Angela Jones, Lavoe Jones, Trevore Jones, Latrice Jones, Sharon Jones, and Antonio Spruill, 16 grandchildren, brothers: Rayphield Knox and Rudolph Mackey Jr., sisters: Paula Knox, Albertina Wiggins (John), Diane Banks, and Carol Uzzle, a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
