Joseph Brown

Joseph Brown transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday June 2, 2019. He was the husband of the late Nannie Ruth Brown for 59 years.

Joseph was born on February 24, 1921 in Wilson, North Carolina to the late Robert and Mahalia Brown and attended Wilson Public Schools. He was 98 years old.

He was the owner of Brown’s Concrete for many years, and enjoyed gardening, playing dominoes, and the outdoors. He will be remembered for his character, personality, and telling his infamous fictitious stories.

Jospeh was predeceased by his children Joseph C. Brown, Nellie Villar, and Barbara Burwell. He is survived by his children Helen Brown, Joletha Robinson, Ernestine Brown, Anthony Baskerville, and Robinette Hall, four generations of grandchildren, a special friend Barbara Gorham, and a host of nieces and nephews.
