Junius “Mann” Davis Jr. was born November 29, 1962 as the first born to Junius Lee Davis Sr. and Shirley Mae Davis in Portsmouth, VA. Junius graduated from S.H. Clarke Junior High School in Portsmouth, VA.
He grew up loving both sets of grandparents, from his Mother’s side, William M Jones and Ester Mae Jones (pre-deceased); and from his Father’s side, Charlie Williams and Beatrice Peele (pre-deceased).
He was given the nickname “Mann” by his grandmother Beatrice Peele, on his Father’s side.
Junius was an artistic and crafty individual, he enjoyed creating masterpieces including sketching his daughter, constructing model cars, and puzzling. He was even offered a position as a sketch artist as a teen by the Police Department.
He met his wife Denise while working in Virginia Beach. She became his best friend, who never left his side. He loved her more than he loved his Kangol hats and matching short sets.
Junius “Mann” Davis, 56, was called home June 12, 2019. He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Denise Davis; Son, Marque Wilson; Daughter, Jannelle Beale; 3 Granddaughters: Ka’Mia, Ka’Mora, and Aubree. He is also survived by his Parents, Junius Lee Davis Sr. and Shirley Mae Davis; Siblings: Shirley Windley, Jerome Davis, Jerry Davis, and LaToya Davis; Brother-In-Law, Melvin Klausmeyer (Wendy); Puppy, Logan; His Nephews and Nieces, and a huge host of cousins, relatives, and friends.
Mann loved everybody, he was the life of the party and was always down to have a good time. He had that BOSS mentality. If he “got it” then, you “got it”, he looked out for everybody.
