Kenneth Brown Obituary


Sergeant, Kenneth Edward Brown, affectionately known as "Kenny" was called home to glory early Friday morning, December 6, 2019.  Kenneth was born in Norfolk, Virginia on June 1, 1949  to the late Alline C. Brown and Emmanuel Brown Sr.  .  He attended Norview High School.  He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church under Bishop C.V. Russell Jr., he was a member of the senior ministry.  He was married for 49 years to his love Viole D. Brown, and had five children.  He joined the Army and became a Master Chef a ( Vietnam Veteran), he retired after 20 years.  Once retired from the Army he worked for the public schools transportation where he drove the school buses.  After that successful career he became a Carrier for Sentara and retired after 20 years.  Kenneth loved his family and friends.  His house was open to everyone because he loved to cook.  He spoiled kids and dogs!  He made sure they had everything.
Kenneth is predeceased in death by his father and mother; his wife of 49 years Viole D. Brown, two brothers Emmanuel Brown II, and Vernon Bonnet; two sisters Linda C. Brown and Antoinette L. Brown.
Kenneth leaves to cherish and honor his memory, two sons Kenneth Brown Jr. and Steven Brown (Maria) his daughters Carmelita Brown, Angeline Brown, and Camille White; five grandchildren: Chenelle Caffee (Raylonzo) Tamara Dozier (Keaton), Adrianna Lilly, Jeremiah Brown and Jasmine Martin; four great grandchildren: Jazel Brown, Jailah Dozier, Amaya White, and August Dozier; two brothers Leonard Brown and Roderdo "Eugene" Brown and a host of nieces and nephews.
