Markee Turner Obituary

Markee Lavell Turner was born August 23, 1989 in Milford, Delaware. He passed away on July 25, 2019 alongside his baby brother Tamian Davis in Norfolk, VA.

Markee, known to most as Dutchy, graduated from Wilmington, Delaware with a 4.0 GPA. As a young child he developed a love for music and writing. You could often find him making beats and scribbling down lyrics to songs in his notebooks. His music career took off when he signed to Virginia Style Records. Not only did he write all his songs, he produced the majority of his own music, he was his own engineer. He also produced for many other artists as well. He has performed in various states and worked with top producers. He soon ventured in to promoting for other artists and was in the process of signing with Q.C. the label. He was also working on launching his own label S.O.X. (Straight Outta Exmore).

He was soon to marry his fiancée, Lakesha Hines on his upcoming birthday weekend in August. His greatest joy was becoming a father, his son and daughters adored him. He had a great sense of pride in fatherhood and making a better life for his family. He will forever be remembered for his infectious smile, his humor, and the love he had for his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Shermine Kellam; fathers James Jones and Keith Kellam; fiancée Lakesha Hines; daughters Zacari Turner and Jewel Giddens; son Keshawn Wynder; siblings Keith and Rikeesh Turner, Shannon and Sharelle Scarborough, Kierra Williams, Kenyetta Ferguson (Willie), Vakeyla Fisher (Mandelia), Kentrez Kellam, Larry Pettighon, and Shay Stratton; grandmother Maggie Neil; 10 nieces and nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones.

Everyone who knew him knew he always had a smile on his face and brought joy to everyone around him. He was definitely the life of the party. He leaves his legacy behind through his children, his music, and all those who loved him.
