Mildred Moore

Mildred Olivia Moore, 93 was born July 20, 1925. She earned her wings and went to be with the Lord on Friday October 12, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Norfolk Virginia after a short illness.

She was a native of Norfolk, Virginia where she attended Norfolk Public Schools. She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church of Norfolk, Va.

Mildred was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was quite but she was always listening. She would help anyone who was in need. She loved to cook and shop and always looked her best.

She was preceded in death by her mother Fannie Donald; her husband Harold Moore, her three sons, Willie Shaw Jr, Gary Shaw and Marvin Shaw.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Wilhelmena Credle, son Reginald Shaw (Rebecca), 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

Though our hearts are saddened, we rejoice in her life and her love. We were blessed to have her for 93 wonderful years. We thank everyone for the constant phone calls, visits, cards and many other acts of kindness.  We say farewell “Nana” until we meet her again.
