Robert Lee Littleton was born to the late James Solomon and Gladys Tillis on July 24, 1936. He departed this life, glory bound on November 23, 2017, at the age of 81 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital.

He was educated in the Georgia public school system throughout his youth. Robert enlisted in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1959. While living in New York, Robert met and married the love of his life, Dolores Matthews. From this union they were blessed with four children.

Robert wore many hats of employment throughout his lifetime. He joined the Merchant Marines in 1967 and remained a seaman for 16 years. After retiring from the Merchant Marines, he worked at Lankford Sysco in Pocomoke, Maryland, under the Utility and Production Administration.

Robert was affectionately known and loved as “Daddy" to his children and “Pop-Pop” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robert enjoyed fishing, doing puzzle books, watching baseball and family feud. We will miss our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. It is our joy in knowing that he is resting safely with a loving and merciful Father who loves him. We thank God for the gift of his life.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Littleton.

Remembering him with love and precious memories is: his loving wife of 52 years, Dolores Matthews Littleton, his children: Sonia Riggins and Brian Littleton of Onancock, VA, Tonya Kellam of Bloxom, VA, Eric Matthews of Wattsville, VA, and David Littleton of Louisville, KY; one sister, Janie Thompson of New Jersey; two brothers, Bruce and Freeman Littleton of Hazelhurst, GA; one sister-in-law, Saundra (Richard) Bagwell of Onancock, VA; two brothers-in-law, Addison (Florence) Matthews and Michael (Dorice) Matthews both of Onancock, VA; one aunt-in-law, JoAnn (Harold) Keaton of Onancock, VA; fifteen grandchildren: Erica (Demetrus) Johnson, Mashaun Matthews, Marquita Ware, Sheneka Littleton, Marquis Brewer, Shanese Dennis, Ashanti Kellam, Reco Kellam Jr., Courtney (Brashawn) Bailey, Deandre Riggins, LaKendra Riggins, Jordan (Kayla) Littleton, Briana Littleton, Brandon Littleton, Takecia Littleton; eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
