Rosa Freeman Obituary

Rosa Maria Freeman was born on February 21, 1960 in Tauberbischofsheim Dittmar Germany to the late Kurt and Henriette Honig.  She departed from this life on June 10, 2019.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Freeman:  Two sons, Marvin A. Freeman (Rachael) Meridan, Miss.  and Bernard T. Freeman of Portsmouth, Va.  (Gabrielle).  One daughter, Henriette M. Freeman of Portsmouth, Va.  One brother, Andreas Honig (Doris) of Tauberbischofsheim, Germany.  Three sisters-in-law’s:  Bernice Barnes (Frank) of Chesapeake, Va. Lois Kearney (Antonio) of Va. Beach, Va. Two brother’s-in-law:  Tyrone Freeman of Va. Beach, Va. and Lawrence Freeman of Norfolk, Va.  Four grandchildren:  Katherin Gabrille Freeman:  Alexander A. Freeman and Xavier N. Freeman of Miss.  and Naomi Isodor of Portsmouth Va. as well as a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.

She was a loving and devoted wife and devoted mother and grandmother.  She was dedicated to her church and community; She was a willing servant to those in need.  Also assisted with aid to people in emergency situations.  Rosa, who all call Rosie, established great friendships throughout her life and will be missed by all.
