On Tuesday July 30, 2019 Vernetta Sarahann Snead Brown departed this life at the residence of her daughter Wanda B. Logan to be with the Lord. Vernetta gave her life to Christ at an early age.
Vernetta Sarahann Snead Brown , the beloved daughter of the late George Henry Snead and Mary Emma Snead was born Sept 5, 1942 in Onley, Virginia. Vernetta graduated from Mary Nottingham Smith High School in 1960 in Accomac, Virginia. She was employed by Raymond Lewis, Accawmake Ornamental in Accomac, Virginia until she retired.
“Aunt Vee” as she was greatly known; was a kind, loving, giving mother, aunt, sister, grandmother and friend. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.
She was a faithful member at Victory Pentecostal Church of Deliverance. She was an Ordained Deaconess, senior member of the Usher Board. She served under the founding Pastor, Pastor Emeritus Elder Julia Ames and is currently under Pastor, Apostle Gloria Weathers and Co-Pastor, Bishop Henry Weathers. Aunt Vee loved her VPCOD church family and they loved her. Aunt Vernetta love the Lord and was ready to spend eternity with her Savior.
Vernetta leaves to cherish her memories: 4 children: Craig Brown, of Alexandria, VA, Calvin Brown Sr. of Fayetteville, NC, Wanda Logan of Onley, VA, Wendy Morris of Parksley, VA; 2 sisters: Lena Langston of Philadelphia, PA, Mary Savage of Keller, VA; 2 brothers: Fred Snead & (Effie Snead)of Onley, VA, George Snead of Lawnside, NJ; 2 sister in-laws: Amy Clary of Philadelphia, PA, Thelma Scarborough of Virginia beach; 10 grandchildren: Antwine, Candice, LaDawn Logan, Shakea Mapp (Markivus), DyKeya Newman (Daron), Calvin Brown Jr., Katwana Logan, Victor Brown, Ronta Brown & Nolan Abbott; 12 great-grandchildren: Michael White Jr., Ny’Zhazia Logan, Ky’Ajah Logan, Da’Niya Brown, Sy’Najah Brown, DaJhan Newman, Chaz Tull, Nakiyah Logan, Ke’Mhaij Ulisse, Ronta Brown Jr., Jordyn Stewart, King Planter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
