Vernetta Nichols

On Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 11:10 am, Vernetta Elizabeth (Hargraves) Nichols of Chesapeake Va., departed this life at the age of 74.Vernetta was born on January 15, 1945 in Norfolk, VA., to Charles and Vernetta (Wynn) Hargraves.
 
Vernetta was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She served on the burn unit of Norfolk General Hospital followed by several years of private duty nursing. Nursing was her passion!
 
Vernetta was preceded in her transition by both her parents, two brothers, Charles V. Hargraves Sr. and James W. Hargraves; one sister, Margert E. (Hargraves) Gause; two daughters, Diana Brown and Ischell Harris and two sons-in-love, Darnell Norman and Johnnie James.
 
Vernetta is survived by two brothers, Russell B. Wynn (Denise) and Nathaniel C. Hargraves Sr.,(Charlene); her children James Brown (Gay), JoVone Norman, Vernetta Meyers, Le’Roy Brown (Valerie) and Selena Coleman; her Sister-in-Love Elizabeth Deering; life companion Lawrence Davis Sr.; 22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
