Annie Gale beloved mother departed this earthly life on Thursday,
December 5, 2024, in the comfort of her home which she shared with her
daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Annie was the younger of her
twin, she was affectionately known as “Lil Sister” and “Annie Mae.” Born
on November 3, 1948, in Sumter South Carolina to the late Jessie Mae
Dukes-Evans and Marion Davis. Annie was preceded in death by her
stepfather Daniel Evans, grandson, Jayson Gale her twin sister, Alice
Green her sister, Deloris DeCosta and her brother, James Davis.
As a child, Annie’s family relocated to Brooklyn, NY where Annie attended
the High School of Fashion Industry in Manhattan. Upon graduation, she
discovered a passion for helping cognitively impaired people. She devoted
herself to this special field for 30 years. In Annie's later years, she
relocated to Richmond, Virginia with her daughter, son-in-law, and
grandchildren and continued working with the elderly as a nurse’s aide at
AGAPE nursing home, she retired due to her own health concerns.
Annie was an avid reader and a talented and generous crocheter.Her
kitchen skills were legendary; especially her sweet potatoe pies. Her family
could depend on her to serenade the house with music, bring life to the
family trips, and create memorable moments. Annie was full of life and was
a fighter; just ask anyone she has grabbed and roughed up in love! She
loved spending time with her family. Annie will be sorely missed by all
whose lives she touched.
Annie leaves to cherish her memories her three children: Samuel Gale,
Jacqulin Gale, and Natanya Muldrow ( Mallie Muldrow) six grandchildren:
Michael Gale, Shaquan Goodwin, Aniyah Muldrow, Bailee Muldrow
Christian Gale, and Dominique Gale, six great-grandchildren: Kashe,
Jahzara, Jayson Jr., Jaela, Mikah, and Makaila, four brothers: Melvin,
(Sherri) Marion Jr., Timothy, (Tania) and Calvin, one sister, Gloria, (Carl)
and a host of aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews. Annie will be
remembered as a, Mother, Grandmother, a Great-Grandmother, a Sister,
an Aunt, and a woman of God. She was a fighter at heart; and devoted to
her entire family, sheltering everyone with unconditional love and at times,
some tough love.
