Annie McNeil, born on July 29, 1934, in Littleton, NC, sent to heaven gates peacefully on December 17, 2024, in Norfolk, VA. A loving wife, devoted mother and cherished grandmother, Annie dedicated over 20 years of her life to providing exceptional customer service for Big Pig, working for Richway for more than a decade and continuing her commitment at Fresh Pride for another ten years.
Annie is survived by her beloved daughters, Cynthia Somerville and Millicent Walker, and her sons, Bruce McNeil and Keith McNeil. She was also the proud grandmother to many, helping to raise some of her grandchildren within her warm and welcoming home. Annie was predeceased by her three children, Kelvin Somerville, Zelma Somerville, and Alicia McNeil. Annie made everyone who entered any home she had feel welcome with a warm heart. She helped raise some her grandchildren in welcoming arms. She left behind a host of grandkids and greats as well.
Annie's greatest joys were found in spending time with her family, praising the Lord, and attending church. Her warm heart and welcoming spirit made everyone feel at home, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Annie’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine through her children and grandchildren.
