Annie Taylor-Crump Obituary

Annie Taylor-Crump, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. She was born on November 25, 1945, in Raeford, North Carolina, and was the cherished daughter of John H. Taylor Sr. and Catherine McNeil-Taylor. As the third oldest of ten children, Annie grew up in a household filled with love, laughter, and strong family bonds.

Annie was the devoted wife of the late Robert Crump, with whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage. Together, they were grounded in their love and faith in God. Annie was the mother of three children: Jaqueline Reynolds (and her late husband, Kevin), Angeline Jennings (Carl), and Anthony Taylor (and his late wife, Bernadette). She is survived by her grandchildren: Sunicka Taliaferro (and her husband, Terrence), Gerrisha Taylor, Shahara Dixon (and her husband, Sherkeel), Anthony Taylor Jr., and Jeremy Reynolds. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she cherished the moments spent with them. Annie's legacy continues through her great-grandchildren. She leaves behind Terrence Taliaferro Jr., Titus Taliaferro, Jestin Taylor, Giselle Taylor, Zy'hara Dixon, and Josiah Reynolds, each carrying a part of her spirit and love.

She was a long-term and faithful member of the Mission of Truth Outreach Center, Annie's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She dedicated her time and energy to serving her church community under the leadership of Pastor and Overseer Janie Jernigan and dear friend and Pastor Trina Holmes-Gordon.

Preceded in death by her parents, John H. Taylor Sr. and Catherine McNeil-Taylor, and her five brothers, Annie is now reunited with them in eternal rest. She leaves behind four sisters, Mary Taylor, Linda Taylor (Isaiah), Pauline Taylor, and Wanda Hart (Malcon), and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Her family and extended family were central to her life, and she was a source of love and support to each of them.

Annie Taylor-Crump's life was a testament to the power of faith and family. She will be remembered for her strength and devotion to loving her family and God. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
