Anthony Person

Anthony Neal Person was born August 30, 1958, in Suffolk, Virginia to Maisie (Coles) Person and Floyd Person Jr. By the entire family Anthony was affectionately called by his middle name “Neal”.

Neal was educated in Staunton, Virginia at The Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind (founded in 1838), where he received his High School diploma. Neal continued his education receiving a Certification as a licensed Carpenter, one of the many passions of his life.  Neal also loved art (drawing several pictures of Family that he kept in his dorm room). Additionally, Neal loved sports and dancing. Neal’s smile and bubbly comedic personality would always light up the room.

Neal leaves to cherish his memory Parents: Maisie (Coles) Person, Floyd and Gladys Person Jr,  Sisters: Barbara Brantley, Paulette Kinslow, Angela Lane, and Rasheeva Nicole Moore, Dorene Miller. Brothers: Darrin Person, Desean Daniels, Timothy Daniels, and Gregory Knight. Neal also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends, and his extended family of the New England Home for the Deaf. Neal was preceded in death by Grandparents: Floyd Sr. and Dollie Person; Willie and Jettie Coles. Brothers: Aaron Alan, Floyd III, Ricky.
