Obituary

Barbara Green-Jackson, daughter of  the late Gladys Payne and David Treadway; sister to the late Betty Mack.   Born in Long Branch, New Jersey, her life goals were to provide Christian and counseling support as a social worker for 53 years.  


Barbara had the pleasure of working for the Salvation Army and social work agencies such as Homewood Community Youth Center, and Fulton Atlanta Community Action.  She was blessed to be able to do outreach for these organizations providing rent and energy assistance in Massachusetts, New Haven CT, Pittsburgh, PA, and Atlanta, GA.    


Barbara leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Robert (Deatra) Treadway & Jonathan Green; daughter Cynthia Milton.  Her beloved brother, David Treadway; nephews, Daniel, Dennis, and Leon Travis; Grandchildren, Gabe Green, Shani Warren, and David Treadway (Diana); three great-grandchildren, her Fulton Atlanta Community colleagues/family – Dr. Dorsey, Mr. Haamed, Ms. Fitton, Ms. Lee, and a host of other relatives and wonderful friends.
