Barbara Winder

Barbara B. Winder, the oldest child of the late Carl and Ophelia Berry, was born on August 12, 1939 in Jackson, GA. Barbara attended grade school in Apopka, FL and high school in Eatonville, FL. She was a graduate of Hampton Institute, where she majored in Speech Pathology. Barbara was a member of St. Thomas AME Zion Church, where she served as a deaconess and a member of the choir. She passed away on the early morning of January 15, 2021. She is survived by her son Selden Winder II of Virginia Beach, VA, her daughter Patrice Winder of Alexandria, VA, her sister Luvenia B. Goolsby of Virginia Beach, VA, her nieces Bettina Goolsby of New York, NY and Gina Berry of Lexington, KY and her nephew Melvin Berry of Lexington, KY. A gentle, loving soul who will be greatly missed by all. The memorial service will be live streamed on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 1:30pm on the Facebook page of Keith Matthews Funeral Home.
