Betty Byerson

Betty Jean “Tootsie” Byerson, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on September 8, 1949, Betty Jean lived a life full of love, strength, and devotion to her family. Known affectionately as “Tootsie,” she touched the lives of many who knew her with her warmth.

She leaves behind a large and loving family, including her five siblings, seven children, twenty-seven grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love and resilience.

Betty Jean will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Funeral services will be held in her hometown of Beaufort, South Carolina, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and honor her memory.
