Brenda Wiggins

Brenda Jo Brown Wiggins, a lifelong resident of the Hampton Roads area, will be remembered for her unwavering faith, compassion, and dedication to service. She was the beloved daughter of her late father and her mother, a devoted parent to her cherished children, and a loving sibling. Her warmth and kindness enriched the lives of her family, extended relatives, and many friends.

A graduate of local schools and universities, Brenda excelled academically, earning multiple honors and scholarships throughout her studies. She dedicated more than two decades of her career to teaching in the Chesapeake Public Schools system, inspiring both students and colleagues with her kindness and encouragement.

Her faith guided her life, reflected in years of active involvement in her church and various ministries. Brenda found joy in gospel music, prayer, and helping others, and she was known for her infectious sense of humor and love of sharing meals with friends and family.

Brenda’s legacy of love, service, and positivity will continue to shine in the community she uplifted. A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at New Willow Grove Baptist Church. All who were touched by her presence are invited to honor her memory.
