Clyde Martin Obituary

Clyde Lee Martin, 85, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away on June 27,
2026. A proud Vietnam-era U.S. Army Veteran, Clyde dedicated his life to serving his
country and caring for his family. He will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
Clyde was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Chong Martin; his parents, Mary L.
Martin and Floyd R. Martin; and his siblings, Arlene Griffin, Dorothy Martin, Grace
Martin, Floyd Martin Jr., Nathaniel Martin, and Bernard Martin.
He leaves to cherish his loving siblings, Edna Reid and Rodney Martin; his son, Floyd
Martin, and daughter-in-law, Melissa Martin; his daughter, Paulette Fulton, and son-in-
law, Charles Fulton; and his treasured grandchildren, Asia Brumfield, Kira Martin,
Stormy Brumfield, Aaron Martin, Brandon Martin, Kylan King, Jaden King, and Zuriel
Fulton. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members,
and dear friends both locally and in Korea.
Clyde's legacy of service, devotion, and love will continue to live on through the many
lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Personal Tribute
Those who knew Clyde knew a man of quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and a
generous heart. He took pride in serving his country, loved his family deeply, and
cherished the friendships he made throughout his life. His wisdom, warm smile, and
steadfast presence will be greatly missed, but his love and legacy will continue to
inspire all who were blessed to know him.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Keith
Matthews Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens,
Norfolk, Virginia.
