David White Obituary

David Eugene White, age 72, transitioned on Monday, January 9, 2023, in Staten Island, New York. He is known to his family and friends as “Midge” a little, yet big brother that others knew not to pick on.  He was a faithful participant in the Waters Church in Staten Island, New York; under the leadership of Rev. Lemuel Ayudtud.  He was known to hang out with his special friends; Larry Stukes, Sheila Bell, Sug Satterfield, and Gwendolyn Spellman whenever he came home.

     He was born on November 13, 1950, in Norfolk Country to the late Henry and Blanche Lee White.  He is one of (16) children born into the White Family in Bells Mill. He was a graduate of Crestwood High School and possessed a great love for his family and friends; desiring for his family to come together.

     David is preceded in death by his father and mother Henry and Blanche Lee White, and by the following siblings:  William Vance White (Birdy), Helen White, Henry Lee White, Donzal L. White, and Florentine Bryant (Tina).

     David is survived by his son David Terrel White (Remanisa), of Manhattan, New York and his daughter, Tarnisha Reed of Portsmouth, Virginia.  He is also survived by (9) grandchildren:  David C. White (aka) “Little David” and Jinnah, Yaminah, Skyla, Terrell, Justin, Tiane, Tamia, and Josie.

     David is also survived by (10) siblings: Maurice White, Clayton P. White Sr., Malcolm D. White Sr. (Annetta), Cheryle Corprew (Keith), Evelyn Wingate, Annette White (John), Cynthia Turner (Randolph), Linda White, Mary Ann White, Laura Waddell.  He is also survived by (2) aunts; Irene (Bishop Roosevelt) Townsend, and Odessa Ricks, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
