Deidra R. Ward

Deidra Renee Ward was born on April 29, 1977, in Brooklyn, New York, to Diana Ward and Allen Rich. On October 19, 2024, the Lord called Deidra home to rest, after a brave fight against pancreatic cancer.

In 1984, Deidra, along with her brother and grandmother, moved from New York to Virginia, where she continued to reside until her passing. While in Virginia, Deidra perfected her passion for baking into a business, providing sweet treats and pastries for her family, friends, and community.

Deidra was predeceased by her mother, Diane Ward; father, Allen Rich. She leaves to cherish her memory, brother, Edward Johnson, Sr.; half-sister, Tasha Cruickshank; uncles, Fredrick Douglas and James Douglas; nephew, Edward Johnson, Jr.; nieces, Natasha Mathews and Kiyah Johnson; great-nephews, Jah’Kari Mathews, Nas, and EJ; great-nieces, Aaliyah Mathews and Princess; loving cousins, Shawnda Staton and Tony Douglas; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
