Diamond A. Menefee, Sr., born June 4, 1949 in Bassett, Virginia to the late Albertha Menefee and Joe Herman Menefee, departed this life on May 6, 2024 to be with His Lord and Savior.
He graduated from George W. Carver High School, where he was a track star. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a Sea Bees for four years. After serving in the military he took and apprentice class. He was then employed by Ford Motor Company as a Door Hanger and retired as a pipefitter after 30 years.
In 1979, he was united in matrimony to Alice Hawkins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Moore.
Along with his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory, son, Diamond A. Menefee, Jr. (Tramaine); two grandsons, Amare and Jaceon; siblings, Rose (Paul), Jimmy (Mary Ann), Dennis, Nancy (Matt), Reginia, and Claude; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
