Diana Bradford Obituary

Diana Bradford age 67, transitioned to be with the Lord on November the 25th 2019 in her Home in Chesapeake VA. She was born July 15 1952 in Baltimore Md to Faison and Rosa Lee Shaw, who preceded her in death.


Diana had a heart of gold and a great love for people. She enjoyed singing, spending time in her church (The World Outreach Worship Center) and she loved to study the  Word of God, especially during her weekly bible study on the phone with her 3 sisters Theresa, Lauretta and Shiella.


She was the 4th oldest of seven children. five sisters and one brother ( Alfonzo, Shirley and Pauletta preceded her in death.) Growing up she was very adventurous and always ready to protect her siblings.


Diana graduated in 1972 from Southern high school in Baltimore city Md. Soon after graduating she met and married her first love Archie Dale and moved to The Eastern Shore of Md to start their business, Dale Janitorial was service. She worked diligently along side her husband for many years while also being a mom and embracing her love for animals by breeding dogs and caring for their Pony (Patches).


Many years later Diana  fulfilled her desire to serve her country in the United States Army in Sept 1981. Diana traveled the the world and served faithfully until her term ended in 1985. 


After the military she decided to make Virginia Beach her home. Anyone close to her knew she had a great love for the beach. She often spoke of the peace and tranquility the ocean waves offered her. She loved to take early morning walks on the sand to sooth her bodies ailments. Although distance may have separated her from her family Diana saw to it that she remained close. She would often call to check in, share a funny story, words of wisdom or just an I love you! Her phone calls and her beautiful soprano singing voice will be greatly missed.


She leaves to cherish her memory one son Derrick Dale, daughter in law Tykeisha Dale. Four grandchildren Denesha, Darius, Kalea and D’nya. Three sisters Theresa Gafford, Lauretta Lucas and Shiella Marine. One brother in law, Joe Gafford nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
