Douglas Wesley Meredith was called to eternal rest on Saturday, May 6, 2023, along with his wife Kimberly Meredith. Douglas was born on November 2, 1992 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Louvinia Mercia Foust Meredith and the late Douglas Street. He was better known as Lil Doug, Lil D, and Dougie. He attended Portsmouth Public Schools and was a member of New Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Douglas loved running track, where he ranked #1 in multiple competitions, receiving an abundance of trophies and medals. He loved being an artist and making animated figurines. He also loved photography, which was instilled in him by his father.
Douglas is survived by his daughter, Genesis Naki Meredith, two sisters, Charlena Meredith and Mariah Meredith; 5 nieces and nephews, Teveon, Deshya, Marzelle, Destiny, and Demetrius; 5 aunts, Cheryl Griffin, Dorothy Griffin, Cynthia Foust, Noreen Wray, Lakeisha Dawsey; 3 uncles, James Foust, Willie Foust, Otis Street; favorite cousins, Nawassa Williams, Quanisha Trent; as well as a host of cousins and friends who love him dearly.
