Earma Whitehead

Earma E Whitehead, 60 of Norfolk, Virginia transitioned on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, following an extended illness. She was born to the late James and Kathleen Whitehead on May 23, 1960 in Southhampton County (Newsome,VA).

Earma was educated in the Norfolk City Public School system.  She worked at Suntrust Bank in housekeeping for a brief time.  Earma was a passionate homemaker.  She became a mother at 16 and spent her formative years caring for her daughter and her younger siblings.

Earma was a loving soul. She had a kind, gentle, dainty, spirit with a radiant smile that warmed the hearts of many. She was a member of Word of Life Apostolic Church in Georgia for many years and attended church services faithfully.

Earma leaves to cherish her memory two daughters Jacqueline (Nikki) and Felisia (Fe-Fe) Whitehead;  two grandchildren Je’Quan Whitehead and Janiya Morgan; three brothers James (Dan) (and his wife Wanda), Jimmie (Jack), and Joe Whitehead; two sisters Barbara Raymond of Norfolk, and Varnell Greenaway of Augusta, GA; one nephew Thaddeus Greenaway; five nieces Shaneca McCoy, Lashawn Madison, Jovonna Lewis, Ariel and Amber Greenaway; and a host of relatives and friends.
