Eldon Valery Obituary

Eldon A Valery Sr. earned his wings on October 30, 2023. He graced this world with his presence when he was born on October 14, 1964, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the son of the late Jacob Valery Jr., and his mother, Barbara Valery, remained a loving presence in his life. Eldon was a dedicated member of the First Lynnhaven Baptist Church, where his passion for music shone brightly as the first drummer of the church. He had a deep love for quartet music, and among his favorite groups, The Canton Spirituals from Canton, Mississippi, held a special place in his heart. "Heavenly Choir" was his all-time favorite song from their repertoire.

Eldon received his education in the Virginia Beach City Public School System, attending Princess Anne High School, where he played football and was mentored by Jake Grimstead. He also pursued higher education at Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.

Throughout his journey into adulthood, Eldon explored various career paths. He worked in construction, supported his family business at J&E Enterprise formally J&E Environmental, and spent several years working at First Lynnhaven Baptist Church. Ultimately, he found his calling as a master barber and owned the Precision Styles barbershop at Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake, Virginia. His skills transformed the appearance of numerous individuals, leaving them looking stylish and confident.

Eldon was preceded in death by his father, Jacob "Jake" Valery Jr., and his sister, Sharlon Valery. He is also reunited with his uncles, Reggie LeBray and Herman LeBray, his aunt, Diane LeBray, his cousin Tressy Skinner, and a host of loved ones.

Eldon leaves behind cherished memories in the hearts of his loved ones, including his mother, Barbara Valery, his wife, Tiffany Hill Valery, his sister, Adrienne Johnson (Marcus), and his children: Tiffany Clifford, Christopher Moore, Jason and Justin Ambrose (twins), Eric Valery, Eldon Valery Jr., Noah Valery, and Isaiah Valery.
