Erma Louise Bishop Loud Obituary

Sis. Erma Louise Bishop Loud, a native of Bronwood and the daughter of the late John and Leazie Bishop, was born on March 9, 1928. A very devoted member of Salem African Methodist Episcopal Church, she had been active with the usher and hostess ministries.

Erma passed away quietly Monday, September 7, 2020, in Norfolk, Virginia, at the blessed age of 92. She was preceded in by her parents; by her husband Strawdy Loud; son Lucious Loud; two daughters, Betty Hightower and Kathleen Loud; and six siblings, Buster Bishop, John W. Bishop, Jr., Robert Bishop, Zenobia Heath, Helen Mae Thomas, and Mae Julie Holley.

Precious memories of Erma will forever remain with her son Frank (Barbara) Loud; daughter Florine (Robert) Bridges; two brothers, Rufus Bishop and Simmuel Bishop; sister-in-law Katie Bishop; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
