Fentress Steed

Fentress McCoy Steed, 64, entered into eternal rest at Signature Healthcare of Norfolk on April 2, 2023. Fentress attended Norfolk Public Schools and lived and  worked in Norfolk, VA. He loved to play chess, play cards, and hangout with family and friends.

Fentress is preceded in death by his mother, Clara Steed; his father, Richard Staten, brother, Jesse Steed; sister, Ernestine Steed; and nephew, William Spencer, Jr.

He will be deeply missed by his family, sisters, Velma Steed Salaam (Labeeb), Vera Steed (Horace), Zelma Steed Spencer, and Patricia Steed Bullard; his brother, Jake Steed, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A special thanks to the workers at Norfolk Community Services Board for taking care of Fentress in his time of need.
