Frances Janet Lundy AKA Janet Gay departed this earthly life on October 18, 2025. Frances was born on September 2, 1944 in Norfolk County. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Gay Wilson; and father, Roosevelt Griffin; her son, Anthony Reynolds Lundy; brothers, Curtis Debro Ridgeway and Thomas Ridgeway; cousins, Viola Kimble and William Brinkley; and, ex-husband, Stanley U. Lundy, Sr. Frances leaves to cherish her memory: ten children from oldest to youngest, Stanley Ulysses Jr., Natalie Janet, Keith Mason (Demetrius), Deborah Louvenia (Charles), Stephanie Laurine (Darryl), Aaron Jeremiah (Natasha), Miriam Frances (Jermane), Patrick William (Duchess), Denise Victoria, and Joshua David (Jimettra); nineteen grandchildren: Jennifer, Khalid, Kiara, Jamir, Kaleb, Cheryl, Jessica, Aaron Jr., Naomi, Alannah, Jermane Jr., Paris, Skylar, Patrick Jr., Gabrielle, Dylan, Jaxon, Jordin, and Joshua Jr.; eight great-grandchildren; three sister-cousins: Juanita McAllister, Frances Cobb, and Willie Mae Gordon; and a host of family and friends. Frances was a long-time member of Zion Worship Temple, Chesapeake, Va.
