G Stanley Taylor Obituary

G Stanley Taylor passed away at his home in Chesapeake, VA on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the age of 67. G Stanley was born in Alexandria, Virginia on June 29, 1958. He is predeceased by his wife, Barbara Taylor, and his parents, John and Ollie Taylor.

G Stanley attended King College and then Virginia Wesleyan where he excelled as a collegiate athlete on their Soccer team. He was blessed to have many life long friendships from his time there and beyond through his love and passion for sports.

Stanley later served two honorable years in the US Army and then had a successful career with the United States Postal Service where he served 18 years.

G Stanley enjoyed sports, music, and Waffle House. He liked his pancakes brought out early and hot with extra butter. And he never missed an opportunity for some karaoke. He may have also enjoyed a buttery nipple shot or two while he was there as well. :) He also appreciated the beach; and we all know he was a die hard Washington Redskins fan! But what he loved most of all was his two sons, Jason and James!

G Stanley was a good friend to a lot of people. He loved his family unconditionally, and he loved the Lord. His dedication and passion for music, sports, and people was loved dearly.

G Stanley is lovingly remembered by his long term girlfriend and partner, Pat McLeod; sons, Jason Taylor of Virginia Beach, VA and James Taylor of Seattle, WA; sister, Toni Taylor of Chesapeake; brother, John Taylor of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Zayden Taylor and Ariella Taylor of Virginia Beach; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives.
