George Holloman Obituary

George Holloman, 85, of Norfolk, Virginia, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2022.  Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, he was the son of the late Mary Dennison and Henry W. Holloman, Sr.

George proudly served the City of Norfolk for 40 years as a Sanitation Worker. 

George was the youngest of four brothers, Raymond, Henry Jr., and Arthur, who preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Clara Jenette Holloman; his sons, George Holloman, Jr., Antonio Holloman (Angela); Chris Holloman (Millersean); and his daughters, Sandra Williams (Richard) and Rana Holloman; 11 Grandchildren; 13 Great-Grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Keith Matthews Funeral Home in Norfolk, Virginia.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Roosevelt Memorial Gardens in Chesapeake, Virginia.  Bishop W. Blackwell, of United Churches of Life will be presiding.

The family would like to give a special thank you to NP Ashley, MSW Kate and RN Chelle, the staff of Suncrest Hospice, for their special compassion and genuine loving care.  A very special thanks to the Rev. Donna Tucker, the Chaplain of Suncrest, for going above and beyond the call of duty in caring for the entire family.
