George E. Wiggins Obituary

On Friday, December 22, 2023, George E. Wiggins was called home by our Heavenly Father to his resting place in Heaven. George was born in Halifax County, NC to the late Eugene and Arlene Wiggins.


He served in the United States Army. He was employed by Western Auto where he retired as an auto mechanic. He was a member of Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Virginia, Campbell Lodge #67, where he also served as Past-Master.


He was a faithful member of Trinity Word of Faith Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Food Pantry Volunteer, Sunday School and Bible Study attendee, and Vacation Bible School volunteer.


George was pre-deceased by his daughter, Irma G. Wiggins; five siblings, Victoria, Pearline, Edna, Benjamin, and Eugene; and his grandson, Kevin L. Wade.


He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Glendolia W. Banks (Greg Sr. – deceased), Edwina “Terry” Walker (Rudy), Tina W. Salley (Andre); sons, Andre Brown (Dana), Kevin Brown (Tracy), and Darious “Sean” Brown; his grandchildren, Frizzell D. Wiggins, Brian A. Doctor, Tara L. Banks, Andre D. Salley, Donte’ Brown, Devon, Tashauna, and Antonio; great-grandchildren Nyanah, Nyree, and Braelynn; as well as his great-great grandchildren, Breeze and Sekari.


He was like a father to D. Ann Brown, Stevie Brown (Natalie), Catrina Brown, Dwayne E. Brown (deceased) and Booker T. Brown Jr. (deceased).


He also leaves to cherish his memory six siblings, Burnell Wiggins (Jean), Elverta Brooks, Queen Williams, Geraldine Austin (Kenny), James Wiggins (Sadie), and Shepherd Tyree Jr.; as well as a multitude of relatives and friends.
