Helen Foster

Helen Foster 87, died unexpectedly on July 12, 2023 at a Norfolk hospital. She was born February 2, 1936, in Oak City, North Carolina, the daughter of Elnora Robinson and Gordon Jones. 

Her family moved to Norfolk, Va., were she attended Booker T. Washington High School, following that by attending Norfolk Learning Center, where she earned her Certified Nursing Assistance accreditation.  Upon graduation, she started her career caring for people as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Richardson Nursing Home of Norfolk.  After landing her dream job doing what she always wanted to do, she married the love of her life Earnest Foster, Sr, they celebrated many years of marriage, until his untimely death.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased her by husband, Earnest Foster, Sr, her sisters Hazel Mae Robinson, Emma Allen and Rosalee Robinson and her son, Melvin Foster.  Surviving is her daughter, Phyllis Foster, three sons, Willie Allen, Ricky Foster and Christopher Foster of Norfolk and a host of grand kids and great grand kids.
