India Austin

On Friday November 15, 2019 India Elizabeth Austin, affectionately know as Godzilla to many passed away.  India was born November 26, 1954 to the late Matthew L. Austin Sr and Nenar Mae Jones Austin.
India graduated from Lake Taylor High School in 1974.  After graduation she began her career with NEXCOM.  During her stint at NEXCOM she progressed from Maid to General Manager.  Throughout her long and accomplished tenure, she would receive the SARA Award, Marketer of the Year Award, General Manager of the Year , NEXCOM Award of Merit and the prestigious Carlson Award.  
India was loving, caring, giving and willing to help anyone.  She loved cooking, decorating and entertaining friend and family.  She also had a passion for Godzilla, Barry Manilow, New England Patriots, dogs and cats.  Her love for her Nieces and Nephews was like no other.  
India leaves to cherish her memories, a special nephew whom she considered her son, Myron L. Austin, an adopted son Tyree S. Carr, her siblings Matthew L. Austin Jr., (Cynthia), Melody L. Austin, Oliver D. Austin (Sharon) and Susie Austin-McCall ( Toronto).  A special long time friend of more than 50 years Ruby Midgette.  Two nieces, Marvette A. McLean (Jamie), Charity L. Epps, one nephew Brandon L Austin (Talesha).  A host of great nephews, great nieces and other family and friends.
