Jacquline Washington

Jacquline Washington entered into eternal rest on January 3, 2020. Jackie, as she was affectionately called, was born on September 14, 1942 to the late Lucille and Booker T. Washington.

She retired from The Virginian-Pilot with over 23 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, gardening, decorating, and entertaining family and friends. She looked forward to cooking outdoors when the weather permitted.

Jackie was preceded in death by her daughter, Delores Kennedy; and her son, Carlton Washington. She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Donald Washington(Stacey), Charles Simmons (Bonnie), and Garland Washington (Terry); two sisters, Gwendolyn Washington and Laverne Washington; Goddaughter Yolanda Washington. Five grandchildren: Carl, Bree, Bethany, Quadrell, Elijah. Four great-grandchildren: Gerard, Marisol, Ishmeal, Hannan. Two nephews, Andre (Javonne) and Lilmar; as well as a host of relatives and friends.
