Jovan Haynes Obituary

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: II Timothy 4:7

Jovan Pierre Haynes; our devoted loving son, father, nephew and friend departed this life on Sunday, November 21, 2021 in the early hours of the day to be at rest.

Born on July 13, 1984 in Norfolk, Virginia to Margaret Ann Cobb and Bruce Elliott Hall, Sr.  Preceded in death by his great grandmother; Margaret Elizabeth Price great grandfather, Perry Dean Johnson Sr.; his step grandfather, Raymond Price; his grandmother, Maxine J. Blanchard; his great uncle, Perry Dean Johnson, Jr.; his great aunt; Brenda Jean Johnson; and his uncle, Ariel Lee Jenkins; and cousin, Chuckie Terrell Johnson.

He attended Virginia Beach Public Schools and completed his education with a high school equivalency diploma in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He then completed two trades in floor care and woodwork.

He had two children, whom he adored and parented with love and patience. He loved music, brainstorming for new ideas, writing, drawing and helping others when he could.

Jovan loved the outdoors.  You would often find him fishing, or going out of town just to see new scenery or surroundings.  With all of his heart; he loved his children, and they him loved too.  Jovan will be greatly missed by all who have crossed his path.  He leaves to mourn his mother, Margaret Ann Cobb of Norfolk, his father; Bruce Elliott Hall of Roosevelt, New York; two children, Jashaun Haynes of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Lamont Jenkins of Norfolk, Virginia. Four aunts, Mariah Meredith of Phoenix Arizona; Shavonne Jenkins of Norfolk, Virginia; Laquisha Mizzell of Norfolk, Virginia, Gabrielle Haynes of Roosevelt, New York, and Three uncles; Antonio Jenkins of Virginia Beach, Ricardo Jenkins of Norfolk, Virginia; and Calvin Jenkins of Portsmouth, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
